I take my multi-temp gooseneck kettle every time I travel. Yes, the kettle is a little bulky, but worth it to me. I have several trial size tea containers for my teas, my travel scale, a small metal steeper, and a small bottle of dish soap for cleaning that fit into a small lunch bag.

What a great post, Traci! “ Tea steeped with water run through a coffee maker always tastes like tea made with coffee water. It ruins the tea. Every time.” Couldn’t agree more! When staying at hotels, I used to use the hot water tap from the gym water cooler if it had one. Portable kettles are such a nice upgrade!

I didn't realize that kind of plug could be purchased independently. It does look like Mickey Mouse...lol. Thanks for the tip!

I got a very similar (same brand I think) portable travel kettle after seeing yours a while back. I agree with what you’ve said here. I really enjoy the flexibility of such a small device with no coffee taste in it! I was able to purchase (from a 3rd party vendor) a much longer chord that has the same “Mackey mouse” plug as my cord and that has made things much easier. My original cord is only like 18 inches long lol. Thanks for sharing your tea wisdom!
