Thanks for reading the post and sharing your experience with mindfulness and tea, Miriam! Isn't it delightful how the ritual and sensory experience of tea and invite us to the present moment? --Traci

Wonderful blog.

I struggle with mindfulness most of the time, but when I brew my tea, especially if I'm preparing it for tea guests, the outside world falls away and leaves me receptive to the experience. I look at the shape and color of the leaves as I put them in the infuser. I listen to the water heating up in the kettle and cascading over the leaves when I start to brew. I smell the aroma of the particular tea I've chosen as it deepens over time. And then I savor the taste and body of the tea, rolling it around on my tongue. Conversations with others about tea can also make me mindful. I'd like to think I've influenced many people about the joys of experiencing tea with all the senses.

Ahhhhh. I get that! I also love sifting more matcha than I need for the session. Extending sifting into that matcha "mountain" --between the sounds and that extra aroma of matcha = :D
