It can be disconcerting–especially when we are not feeling well and are in need of comfort–to have a tea that really doesn’t speak to us.

When I was in the hospital last year, all they had for the 3 1/2 weeks I was there, was Lipton, which the staff quickly came to understand I not-so-politely referred to as “bilge water.” I couldn’t wait to get home and have some real tea for a change. They were not sorry to see me go.

Especially your “Lipton tea in Corelle cups” word picture- I was educated at that school, too! May I share a horror story? I was served green tea by a charming octogenarian. She was distressed that the tea was not brown. SO SHE MICROWAVED THE GLASS TEAPOT… until it WAS! Brown, I mean! No Joke. Dark (and murky) brown. For once, I took sugar. And a polite few sips. Whilst trying to distract her by conversation, so she never noticed my cup did not get empty. Haha!
